Anionic/Cationic exchangers might be integrated with Mixed Bed vessels and degasifying systems for CO2 removal; Condensate polishing units are supplied for high pressure steam generation.
Various operational modes are possible such as upflow/downflow, packed beds, internal / external regeneration systems, resin washing facility, etc.
Properly designed pre-treatment of feed water is of fundamental importance for not harming resins performance and durability, given their cost. Filters with different media, coalescers, etc. may be involved.
