WTD designs and supplies an extensive range of systems using Ion Exchange Technology for production of demineralized water. Demineralized Water is required in several different sectors and applications, as follows:
1. BOILER FEED WATER (BFW) production, especially in case of high pressure steam generation where high purity water is required
2. PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY for preparation process of injectables
3. O&G, PETROCHEMICAL / CHEMICAL sectors, for producing a process water characterized by very low salinity content
According to plant capacity a number of pressurized vessels filled with Limestone pebbles is used for dissolution with water and CO2 mixture.BACK TO TECHNOLOGIES
Pre-treatment is designed considering feed water characteristics and impurities to be removed in order not to harm resins performance and durability, given their cost.
Filters with different media, coalescers, etc. may be involved for proper safe pre-treatment.
Process is selected in accordance to required outlet water characteristics: softening, silica removal, general demineralization, condensate polishing, ultrapure water production, metals removal, etc.
Degasifying systems are also considered for removal of CO2 content in the water.
Upon results to be obtained, a specific process can be selected, involving use of strong or weak resins, adsorbent type or chelating resins for higher selectivity, etc.
Also different operational modes are considered such as packed beds, internal / external regenerations, etc.
